Quality Assurance Tech Lab

GENERAL FUNCTION
  • Inspect quality of outgoing AR department work by performing analysis and inspection of substances used in coating processes and actual AR coated lenses.
 
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct in-process sample audits of coating substances, providing data and feedback for quality improvement
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding quality issues.
  • Administrative duties, including collection of audit data.
  • Statistical analysis of audit data, obtaining averages and trends and report/spreadsheet preparation of findings on daily/shift/weekly/monthly/etc. basis.
 
 


Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:
 
  • Minimum of 1 year previous QA experience in lab job performing break-down analysis processes
  • ASQ certified, a plus
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word processing
  • Ability use and read measuring devices
  • Ability to apply statistical methodology for continual process improvement
  • Ability to work well autonomously to achieve defined goals and deadlines
 
 
 
Physical Requirements:
Able to rotate from sitting and standing for long periods of time. Bend or twist as needed. Use of repetitive motion of hands and wrists as necessary. Lift up to 75 pounds.
