Hosting Infrastructure Engineer

Demonstrated experience with Windows Server and a variety of Microsoft Applications:

·         Install, configure and support O/S (Windows2000, Windows2003, and Windows2008)

·         Install, configure, and support IIS (v5 and v6)

·         Install, configure, and support SQL Server (2000 and 2005)

·         Configure and support Windows Updates

·         Ability to decipher Windows event log entries and recommend solutions

Demonstrated experience with SAN technologies:

·         Install, configure and support SAN Fabric switches

·         Install, configure and support EMC storage (SAN Fabric connections, LUN creation, LUN assignment)

·         Install, configure and support EMC applications (Replication Manager, SAN Volume manager)

·         Familiarity with RAID technologies (Raid0, 1, 5, 10)

Demonstrated experience with Network Infrastructure Support:

·         Install, configure and support new hardware: Dell, HP, IBM x86 servers

·         Configure TCP/IP networking

·         Ability to troubleshoot network connection issues

·         Install, configure and support Symantec BackupExec

·         Install, configure and support Symantec System Recovery

·         Install, configure and support LTO3 Tape Library

·         Install, configure and support Symantec Anti-Virus

Demonstrated experience with Network Security:

·         Cisco PIX and CheckPoint Firewalls

·         Firewall rule creation and modification

·         Encrypted VPN tunnels

·         NAT, PAT, and associated network security

Experience in a hosted environment

·         Install, configure and support remote console solutions

·         Ability and willingness to respond 24x7x365 to issues in the colo

·         Ability and willingness to follow defined processes and procedures when working on colo equipment
