Managed Care Auditor/Collector

Managed Care Auditor/Collector

Responsibilities of the Managed Care Auditor/Collector include researching data and reviewing EOBs, analyzing managed care contracts, calculating expected reimbursement for claims, identifying underpayments, generating reports and coordinating projects.

Managed Care Auditor/Collector

The Managed Care Auditor/Collector is responsible for contacting insurance carriers to resolve payment issues, preparing claims packages and working with management staff to identify payor contract issues.

The ideal candidate for these positions will be self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented, flexible and will possess:

• Hospital billing/collection experience-This is a must have! 
• Familiarity with CPT-4, ICD-9 and DRG codes and UB92 form
• Knowledge of accounts receivables
• Strong calculation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of managed care contracts
• Computer skills
