Job Description:

 

The Global Design, Sales & Service Instructional Designer designs and implements training modules for sales, technical and soft skills to support the individual and organizational performance of Design, Sales & Service (DSS)  personnel in a multi-channel call centers (email, phone, fax, web and chat) with locations in Jamaica, the Netherlands, and Tunisia. The curriculum modules, courses and programs will be designed to support the Vistaprint DSS guiding principles and vision of world-class customer care. This person must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment that is results and detail-oriented. This individual must be a self-starter who devises creative and individualized solutions and executes them quickly. This position reports to the Global L&D Director, DSS.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, document and implement training modules and supporting materials for sales, technical and soft skills training initiatives, incorporating theories of adult learning, interactive training techniques, assessment and practicum exercises that balances the training needs of the intended audience with the resource needs of the call center service level agreements.
  • Devise methods to assess internal and external customer satisfaction through formal and informal means in order to design training to meet needs as identified and improve results
  • Develop and implement Train the Trainer sessions as identified and requested
  • Collaborate with global DSS management team to identify and analyze people, systems and processes to determine the best way to improve individual and group performance
  • Compile statistics, interpret data and take appropriate action to support the goals of DSS
  • Prepare, maintain and update reports and documentation as identified and requested
  • Interact with other departments to develop and maintain knowledge of systems, products and procedures
  • Participate in cross-functional communications and meetings to support the DSS organization
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, lead and facilitate change and model professionalism in all contacts with internal and external customers
  • Take responsibility for maintaining knowledge and resources regarding company initiatives and professional trends within the industry
  • Adhere to, support and administer both company and DSS policies and procedures as defined
  • Perform training and call center activities as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's of Science or bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience; fluent in French a plus
  • 5+ years of demonstrated competency in sales, technical, services and/or instructional documentation and design
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ADDIE and SCORM design models, including theories of adult learning as applied to training development is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, Leader Guide Pro and Lectora
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 2007 and WebEx
  • Experience working with Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS)
  • Familiar with Kirkpatrick levels of management
  • Must be able to juggle multiple changing priorities efficiently and effectively
  • Must have the ability to solve problems independently
  • Advanced computer skills with aptitude for learning and using multiple systems
  • Proven ability to write clearly and concisely and to design document sales, technical and soft skills training that incorporates adult learning theories and interactive training techniques and measurement with examples required
  • Communicates to internal and external customers, partners, vendors and associates in a clear and concise manner and models professional behavior at all times
  • Able to commit to a flexible work schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • International travel necessary 15-20%
