Global Commodity Manager - PCB
OVERVIEW: Select, Develop & Manage a Competitive, Global supply base for Printed Circuit Boards which supports our Strategic Plan & Global Operations. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement a cost reduction program, which delivers benchmark competitiveness for our various technology bands. Direct the sourcing of all new product PCB requirements in line with introduction schedules, region & appropriate technology suppliers. Partner with key suppliers to ensure that the appropriate investments are made in support of technology attribute development and capacity requirements. Develop Global performance management processes & goals and, together with Operations & Quality, manage the supply base to deliver world-class quality, delivery & cost performance levels. Play an integral role in the development of a global PCB organization, which is a positive influence on our business. Ensure that our Supply Base is fully accredited to support our key Market Segments, specifically Medical, Mil-Aero & Secure Communications and is also positioned geographically to meet geo-political requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in business or engineering with alternative technical /commercial certification or training evidence. In-depth knowledge of PCB technology & manufacturing process with familiarity of commercial models. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Global Supply Chain environment with a multi-national company. Intimate knowledge of the worldwide PCB industry and technology, especially in North America (ITAR) & Asia. Experienced in negotiating & communications with senior management both internally & with Suppliers. EOE M/F/H/VDevelop a strategic commodity plan for PCB technology which positions the supply base capability and capacity in support our Strategic plan, Market focus & Worldwide Operations for the next 1 – 5 years. Develop our new product sourcing process to deliver a CTS preferred supply base to meet NPI criteria. Convince our customers that CTS has a credible supply base & technical resources & experience to competitively support our mutual revenue streams.
