Our Sunnyvale location is seeking an experienced Facilities Site Manager! Please note that no relocation is available for this position.

SCOPE:
The GCS Site Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a broad range of facility-related services to the site. These services fall into the three categories: facilities operations and maintenance, employee services and security. 
Facilities operations and maintenance includes building and grounds maintenance and repairs, cleaning services, pest control, tactical space and project management, and site safety. Employee services include food services, office services and fitness centers. Security includes the protection of buildings, personal property and employees and others acting on AMD’s behalf while on-site. 

The GCS Site Manager will report directly to the Sr. Manager, North America Facilities and dotted-line to AMD’s executive leader at the respective site. In this dotted-line capacity, the GCS Site Manager will be responsible to create a seamless interface between all of these functions, whether in a direct reporting relationship or not, and have full authority to satisfy local needs while staying within the bounds of and meeting any applicable corporate standards or requirements.

RESOURCES:
The GCS Site Manager will prosecute their scope of work using a combination of AMD employees, contract labor and third-party service providers. Resources focusing on facilities operations and maintenance and employee services will be direct reports to the GCS Site Manager while security resources will be dotted line from Global Security. Other resources will be dotted-line on an as-needed basis from the other GCS Centers of Excellence (e.g. Global Real Estate and Strategic Planning and EH&S). 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain an active and collaborative relationship with the site executive leadership with the objective of aligning service delivery to the priorities of the site.

Represent GCS in a wide variety of meetings and committees and be able to articulate the strategy and policies.

Administer corporate policies according to executive level direction ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures. 

Overall responsibility for site Facilities & EH&S, Site Services, Security Services staff through a direct and indirect reporting structure.

Mentors and develops site GCS personnel, including supervisory/management staff.

Foster an environment that supports teamwork, empowerment and accountability of staff at all levels and the quest for Best Practices in the delivery of services.

In collaboration with GCS leadership team and site teams, develop and direct expansion/reduction plans, development of site-specific long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements for campus program/process improvements. 

Responsible for developing and meeting expense and capital budget objectives.

Develop and monitor metrics, regularly communicating with the Senior Management team and other department personnel. Develop and provide forecasting and planning related to the support of projected campus needs, loads and requirements with adequate space and utilities procurement.

Collaborates with other departments during planning and process improvement activities to ensure timely completion of all operational areas objectives and milestones.

Engages internal and external stakeholders as appropriate in identification and resolution of issues. 
Ensure compliance with all local, state/province, and federal regulations

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of six to ten years of facilities management experience and/or training.

Proven experience with office space planning and implementing workplace standards/practices
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to interact effectively with all employees throughout the organization 
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential
Ability to handle a multitude of priorities simultaneously 
Proven ability and experience developing capital and expense budgets 
Proven ability to evaluate profit and loss financial statements 
Participative management approach with strong staff development skills 
Strong analytical, problem solving, strategic planning, and project management skills 
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional decorum 
Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint 
Ability to work independently. This position will operate with limited supervision 
Demonstrated ability to meet functional and organizational needs and respond to problems that arise 
Demonstrated experience in projects related to the areas of EHS, facilities, and physical security.
