Background

Due to the rapid growth of its global business, Static Control Components, (SCC) has an immediate opening for a Global Electronics Commodity Manager.  This visible, high-level position will ensure that strategies and MRP processes are established and followed to support our growing electronics design & manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements

·         Responsible for all world-wide programs supporting eleven (11) warehouses globally.

·         Meet regularly with internal customers as well as key suppliers to ensure support, balanced inventory levels of materials & finished goods.

·         Co-ordinates closely with production buyers, planners, suppliers and sales/customers.

·         Manage relationships at different functional and cultural levels, both internally and externally.

·         Successfully implement, monitor agreements with key suppliers.

·         Perform analysis and control using MRP based tools to track projects and materials flow tied to key projects and time-lines.

·         Excellent judgment required to meet and support demanding schedule commitments.

·         Coordinate with Plant Production Planners, Material Planner/ Buyers to aggressively meet consignment goals & objectives.

·         Maintain material MRP integrity to meet daily production commitment of products during start up, initial builds and sustaining production.

·         Ensure that a realistic demand plan is loaded, commitments are made by suppliers and capacity and risk mitigation plans are in place for all key consignment commodities.

Qualifications

 The successful candidate must have at least ten years of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) on a global scale. 

 Additional qualifications include:

·         BS degree in Business or related area coupled with 10 years of experience with DRP & Consignment programs at a Global level.

·         Advanced Material Procurement and Material Planning experience in Electronics a must!

·         Ability to exercise considerable judgment in determining material requirements to satisfy customer demand.

·         STRONG knowledge of MRP-based procurement systems.

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Detail oriented, motivated and responsive to deadlines and senior management.

·         C.P.M. or APICS certification preferred

·         Excellent communications and leadership required.
