As Microsoft Alliance Manager, this position is the principal sales and marketing liaison between Microsoft and GK and is responsible for driving Microsoft product line revenue growth at GK through strategic sales initiatives, MS field engagement programs, and other business development programs. The role is identified as the primary sales and marketing partner contact, working directly with the Microsoft Partner Account Manager and subsequent Microsoft Field Organizations to drive consistent business and communications relating to the Learning Solutions business and portfolio. The Alliance Manager works across multiple sales, marketing, and product teams within GK, as well as Microsoft internal business units, to drive a strong and productive growth partnership. This position is for an experienced program or alliance manager who has proven business development skills and a desire to drive and grow the business between GK and all Microsoft business groups and field organizations.
Primary responsibilities include building a US, multi-year readiness alliance plan with the US CPLS team; establishing and implementing new sales and business development programs between the organizations, and achieving revenue and business acceleration goals that will be established between the organizations as part of the alliance plan.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed annual US multi-million dollar goals and measurements designed to increase GK revenue and profit specific to Microsoft product line.
  • Team with existing GK sales teams (inside and field) and Microsoft Teams to identify and drive sales enablement programs, joining the GK and MS Field sales efforts with mutually beneficial engagement and client pursuit programs in both the Commercial and Government sectors in the US.
  • Identify business needs and develop sales and marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Identify and develop relationships throughout Microsoft organization (Field and HQ) and business units in conjunction with the GK sales teams.
  • Work to develop and implement joint partnership plans. Evaluate long-term consistency of the impact (six months or more) and ramifications of policy and decisions to strategic plan. Complete and achieve strategic planning goals.
  • Ensure timely submission of reporting requirements to Microsoft and GK, such as sales forecasts, opportunity profiles, and activity reporting.
  • Work across GK sales and marketing to drive Microsoft growth and business development initiatives. Must be able to work as part of a team to collaborate on building consensus based plans and solutions.

    Primary Skills and Credentials:
  • Proven consultative sales track record and overachiever selling MS product or learning solutions.
  • Proven ability to achieve multi-million dollar sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, sales and negotiation skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of Microsoft structure and business operations.
  • Have over 3 years of sales experience with MS Learning or MS Product solutions.
  • Ability to establish a strong network of Microsoft relationships across the country.
  • Ability to manage a team opportunity pipeline and on-going reporting and planning.
  • Possess strong general global IT market knowledge and experience.
  • Possess strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Expertise with the Microsoft Solution Stack, SharePoint, Collaboration, Document Management, Office, Desktop Deployment Services, Help Desk, Service Level Management, and Server technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in conceiving complex partnership strategies and action plans.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, leadership, creativity, influencing, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills required.
  • Experience directing/facilitating virtual teams of internal and external people.
