The Functional Coatings Global Market Development Manager, will be responsible for developing and implementing a global market strategy and go to market plan for new products and solutions in existing, new and adjacent market segments for our functional coating technologies. The position will investigate and assess new markets, and sub-segments within new markets for potential new business development. The position will work closely with global technical organization, innovation and product development groups to conceptualize and develop new products and solution offerings.



What we offer

Understand and evaluate segments for sizing markets, gather and analyze customer needs within the segment, and identify existing and potential opportunities.Analyze industry trends to assess the factors that define the market segment strategy.Perform competitive analysis to determine the strengths and weaknesses of Henkel as it pertains to applications within the market segment.Develop a global market segment/sub-segment strategy and go-to market plan that could be executed by the regional teams.Drive innovation based on market needs identified through Voice of the Customer (VoC), assessing gaps in the current portfolio, and build innovation road maps to fill these gaps through ADP (StageGate™), CVC (Corporate Venture Capital) or M&A effortsDrive Key Strategic Initiatives (KSIs) globally by working closely with global and regional commercial and technical teams (TCS).Identify inorganic growth opportunities (partnerships, M&A) to drive top line growth.Employ customer segmentation models to identify key accounts and for further development and nurturing.Drive programs to establish a channel strategy that improves profitability and ensure bottom-line margins.Develop industry content for marketing programs to support global and regional Marcom.. Identify and assess white spaces and adjacent opportunities.


Who we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; MBA preferred.5 years of Industrial Strategic Marketing or equivalent. A coatings background is a big PLUSImplement strategies at global and regional levels.• New Product Launches• Industry/Device Programs • Marcom Plan• Channel Plan Experienced in driving growth in adjacent markets and white spaces.Experienced in assessing candidates for M&As.Ability to influence individuals at all levels in the organization, both globally and regionally.Ability to network on a global level and develop results with the AGF Regional Business teams will be crucial.Strong presentation skills.Position Location\: Preference North America\: Bridgewater, Rocky Hill or Field.
