The Global Marketing Director, Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy Research & Development, LLC, plans and coordinates critical processes related to business planning, strategic marketing plans, portfolio management and development, market research, new product launches, business performance tracking and multi - channel marketing. Directs the activities of complex customer and competitor analyses inthe areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations. Ensures timely and appropriate input from a wide range of stakeholders and functions including finance, market research, business development, and health economics and pricing.The role may partner with R&D to provide commercial input into commercial development teams. Provides leadership and vision for brands in development, and leverages opportunities with regional partners, customers, Johnson and Johnson brands, and alliances. Drives the development of market focused culture through the creation of global and regional launch and marketing plans. Establishes and ensures the management of key relationships with agencies and suppliers in developing product concept designs and mockups for market research and management presentations. Designs recommendations for global branding, positioning, and pricing strategies that deliver value. Key Responsibilities include: Set the commercial vision and strategy for the compound by integrating input from key global stakeholders. Enlists support for the vision via leadership, influence, and negotiation with internal and alliance partners. Determine, with alliance partner, the critical resources required for a streamlined and effective organization across both companies. Determines, with operating companies (both within Janssen AI and J&J and partner), critical resource needs at global, regional, and local levels. Provides functional leadership, support, and deliverables to the JDLT (and internal "CDT"). Develops commercial portions of the compound development plan, ensures functional sign-off and commercial validation of the commercial plan, and is responsible for achieving the functional deliverables. Partners with R&D to provide input into clinical study design, materials, and labeling that support the commercial strategy. Co-Leads JCLT with representation from US, Europe, and other applicable regions as well as PGSM to develop and execute global commercial strategies that effectively address marketplace differences. Accountable for setting and managing full product budget with Alliance partner. Identifies and understands key market drivers. Anticipates future trends in the marketplace with a long-term outlook (5+ years), and shapes commercial strategy to align with those trends. Leads the development of forecasts and full asset valuation in collaboration with key internal and partner stakeholders. Oversees tactical implementation of commercial strategy, including: branding and positioning, public relations, congress support and other market conditioning programs. Develops and implements the Marketing Excellence global launch readiness plan, ensuring consistent support of the compound vision/strategy. Selects, develops, and retains superior, quality people.
Qualifications
A minimum of a BA/BS is required with an advanced degree preferred. 10 or more years of progressive marketing experience is required, preferably in the pharmaceutical or devices industry. Extensive line marketing experience (prefer strong US experience in an infusion/biological setting), senior brand responsibility, product launch experience, and team leadership is also required. Ideally will have demonstrated success in establishing new markets/new paradigms. Minimum of 2 years strategic global marketing leadership experience. Line marketing experience demonstrating commitment to innovation through deep customer insights is key. Demonstrated track record leading highly matrixed, cross-functional work teams composed of high-level managers and executives. Experience with global R&D programs required. Extensive experience accomplishing objectives through people. Position requires significant domestic and some international travel (approximately 50%).
