Position Summary
The Global Operations (GO) Training Manager will define and implement the training strategy for the Global Operations America (GOA) staff in Cherry Hill and in the North America and Latin America region in accordance with Actelion’s processes and emerging regulatory trends and businesses. As the GO Training Manager, you will continuously monitor and assess the training status and needs of the Global Operations America staff in North America and in the Latin America regions and ensure implementation and delivery of aligned and effective training across teams.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop a training strategy and concept considering all roles and functions with GO and define corresponding training requirements and processes (collaborate between regions)
· Identify, analyze and prioritize training needs and requirements according to training strategy
· Implement training strategy/concept within GO internal team and regional group to ensure adequate qualification of GO staff and improve compliance with internal processes and global regulatory quality standards
· Develop training material and appropriate tools/systems based on analysis and training objectives
· Conduct or organize trainings and supervise trainings given by third party
· Ensure structured, consistent and efficient trainings are provided to all in-house and regional staff
· Oversee and coordinate all training activities with GO and facilitate implementation of training initiatives (regional and global)
· Establish and harmonize training policies, processes and procedures
· Provide day-to-day support to GO staff in areas of monitoring processes and procedures
· Develop and implement metrics/relevant assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training
· Evaluate and implement a training tool (e.g., LMS) and ensure processing of training records for in-house and regional staff
· Work in close collaboration with GO Process Group to increase process compliance and efficiency in GO study activities
· Drive sharing of best practices globally and across study teams
· Maintain and coordinate induction program for newcomers
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in a biologic science or healthcare profession
· At least ten years experience in Clinical Development
· Excellent knowledge and understanding of Clinical and Drug Development Process and Regulations
· Solid operational background in GxP environment, i.e. proven experience in field monitoring (preferred with a global CRO or Pharma organization) and/or global trial management
· Previous experience in training
· Ability to create training materials from raw content (SOP)
· Skilled at working and training in a global/remote team and matrix structure
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
