Position Description
The Senior Global Product Manager manages the marketing contribution to a specific project and must lead the decision making process. The Global Product Manager provides marketing expertise to functional areas involved in product development and represents the voice of the Regions, the Subsidiaries and the customers. The Global Product Manager manages the global marketing plan in order to ensure the optimum return on investment with respect to the strategic goals of the company.
·Defines the short and long-term product strategy by creating and executing a yearly marketing plan ·Enhances the expected products business success by defining, proving and documenting the "customer value proposition" of assigned product range (develops marketing tools) ·Once specific product is launched, achieves revenue and gross margin goals by working with the Regions, Subsidiaries and if necessary major customers. International travel is required (up to 25-30%) ·Provides analysis of competition and optimal product positioning to maximize sales success. Continuous review of literature and market trends.
·Manages the product portfolio by introducing new products, discontinuing obsolete ones and identifying gaps in the product range and by working with R&D, QCX and Manufacturing.
·Proposes pricing policies for specific product by analyzing competitor activities and customer buying processes and habits ·Advises on transfer prices together with the Finance Department ·Introduces the right new products by contributing to the core project team and working with Regions and Subsidiaries

Position Skills/Qualifications
Education/Experience:
·Bachelors degree or higher in physical or life science with 5 years related experience. Profound knowledge of microbiology is a plus ·Bachelors degree or higher in business. MBA is a plus ·Experience in reagent, instrument or software development in the in vitro diagnostics or other regulated healthcare industry ·Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in sales and marketing. Experience in the microbiology testing markets is a plus ·Knowledge of the competitive microbiology environment is a plus ·This role requires cross-functional experience and knowledge in all areas of in vitro diagnostics, including R&D, Operations, Marketing, Finance, GMP, design control and other regulatory requirements.·Experience in company representation in an international setting ·Fluent in English is a must
