Primary Responsibility:

Lead and oversee all development activities for MEMC’s global SAP system.

Activities include:

• Provide team oversight for all development activities
  
• Set departmental standards
  
• Lead detailed solution design and define the systems solutions architecture
  
• Oversee the delivery and development of IT solutions leveraging the SAP development toolkit and partner applications (output management, EDI, etc.)
  
• For larger projects create plans, schedules, cost estimates and budgets
  
• Manage work to planned milestones
  
• Lead the assessment and improvement of the effectiveness of the current SAP development standards and processes
  
• Support the on-boarding of vendor staff contracted for the delivery of developments
  
• Drive the improvement of the operational performance of the development processes in support of solution design, system reliability and solution re-use
  
• Recommend and implement technological improvements

Job Scope:

• ABAP development, owns the delivery of all ABAP work
  
• Standards development and implementation, sets and communicates software development standards for SAP and its partner applications
  
• Vendor management, day to day management of development partners
  
• Solution design and architecture, works closely with IT business analysts on the details of IT solutions
  
• Project management, creates, manages and monitors project plans for solution delivery
  
• Define and improve processes in the software development and delivery cycle
  
• Develop scorecard formats that communicate a clear and concise message in alignment with the corporate measurement requirements
  
• Primary contact person for third-party software development partners
  
• Develop SAP roadmap for release levels and the deployment of SAP based technologies in support of MEMC’s business requirements
  
• Create a plan to simplify solution design in mission critical SAP solutions

Related Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in ABAP/ALE/EDI as a team lead, and expert development level
  
• 3+ years in leadership roles
  
• Experience in domestic and international environments

Knowledge:

• Expert skills in the SAP development tool kit, ABAP, BAPI’s, BADI’s, User Exits, Output Management and Output Management tools
  
• Functional knowledge of SD and MM a plus
  
• Knowledge of testing processes and tools
  
• Expertise in BW and BI tools is a plus
  
• Expertise in Oracle and .Net is a plus

Education / Experience:

• Must have a minimum BS or equivalent work related experience
  
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  
• Proficiency with Asian languages preferred
  
• SAP certification a plus
  
• PMI certification a plus

Communication:

• Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Physical Requirements

• 10% travel required (domestic and international)
