Position: Global Statistics Data Analyst
Location: Louisville, KY
Basic Function:
Independently manage all aspects of Control State Retail Account Database for both Wines and Spirits, to include managing data integrity as well as system support/ training and standardized / ad hoc reporting. Lead the management, facilitation, and reporting of other unique Brown-Forman data sources/master data within the Oracle & Business Warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
Control State Retail Account Database Management/Reporting – Independently manage BFBW’s Control State Retail Account Database (SAMII) for both Spirits and Wines, to include managing all master data, internal hierarchies, TD Linx integration, data collection, processing, reconciliation and reporting. Emphasis on maintaining superior data integrity at all times. Ownership for all aspects of the data source – data expert. Work w/others in Global Statistics group to manage day to day balancing issues, resolve matching variances, manage customized groupings, etc. Provide services & support to North American Region Field Sales/ Marketing groups to enable them to fully utilize SAMII GTMMS/TD Linx Account classification data to a competitive advantage.
Ad Hoc Analysis – Develop meaningful ad hoc analyses designed to further customer’s understanding of a significant business issue. Construct logical approaches to business issue, articulate findings, conclusions, orally & written. Sales and Marketing Master Data Management/Reporting. Independently manage Sales and Marketing Master Data (package, tier, and reporting brand) globally. Owner of all aspects of this data source – data expert. This includes the development/daily monitoring of quality control procedures for all data inputs. End user support for any information relating to this data source. Responsible for all ad hoc reporting and communication relating to this data source. This data is of primary importance as this is the data that is used to integrate with all other BW data sources. Drive process improvements.
NABCA/DISCUS BW Database – independently manage BFBW’s NABCA/DISCUS Database for both Spirits and Wines, to include managing all master data, internal hierarchies, data processing/reconciliation and reporting. Includes working with DISCUS and NABCA data providers to insure proper common code setups, timely delivery and accuracy of information.
Ad Hoc Analysis and Other Standardized Reporting – develop meaningful ad hoc analyses designed to further customer’s understanding of a significant business issue using BEX, R/3, Excel, Brio and Oracle Analyzer for all levels of BF Management. Construct logical approaches to business issue, articulate findings, conclusions, orally & written. Responsible for the data integrity and timely delivery of certain standardized reports relating to NABCA/DISCUS, SAMII data.
Back-up data analyst for other Global Statistics data sources /data management processes w/emphasis placed on maintaining superior data integration and streamlining current processes.
Conduct Operational Analyses as requested by Mgr of Global Statistics.

Must Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree w/ 1-3 yrs of database management, finance or related area. Proficient with reporting tools such as BEx, Brio, Oracle or Hyperion. Enterprise Platform experience such as SAP, PeopleSoft or Oracle. Advanced proficiency in Excel. PowerPoint. Familiarity with the concepts of system analyses/design and process improvement. Self-starter w/ability to plan, prioritize, & complete work w/speed and accuracy within established timeframes. Work flexible schedule to meet deadlines. Ability to think conceptually, flexibly and strategically, make decisions independently, based on logical assumptions and factual information. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, team player, details oriented, excellent verbal, written/communications skills. Strong information technologies aptitude.
Preferred Experience:
General knowledge of supply chain processes and sales and marketing systems.
