Job Description

My client in the Norristown area is seeking a Global Tax Manager. Responsibilities Include - Technical business resource responsible for global tax accounting and reporting, disclosures, and data requests - Initiate and manage quarterly global tax provision process and account reconciliations - Assist with the preparation of the domestic federal and state income tax and franchise tax returns - Manage the accurate reporting of the international aspects of the US Federal income tax return, including Forms 5471, 8865, and 1118 - Manage and forecast effective tax rate and provide quarterly reconciliations from plan to actual - Support federal, state and foreign restructurings, due diligences, acquisition integrations and general planning - Lead tax reporting and planning projects to improve overall efficiency of tax processes - Collaborate with business teams with regard to tax effects of business strategies - Assist in the development of effective tax rate management strategies Perform research & analysis related to new business initiatives - Lead the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and analysis - Monitor the status of worldwide income tax filings and foreign audits - Support the treasury function in managing cash in a tax efficient manner as well as the tax efficient repatriation of offshore earnings - Assist in coordinating and preparing data in support of the filing of US informational returns (e.g. Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 5713) - Assist in the preparation of Earnings & Profits calculations, foreign tax credit pools, Subpart F, tax basis, OFL/ODL and other relevant analysis of foreign subsidiaries in support of the US tax positions - Design the internal tax function so as to minimize the total cost to the company (i.e. the tradeoff between the costs of internal resources versus external service provider costs) Please forward resumes to Jennifer Karpf, jennifer.karpf@roberthalf.com Jennifer Karpf Recruiting Manager 484.254.9040

Qualifications :
Qualifications for this position include: A bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting or finance (an advanced degree in tax and/or CPA is desirable) A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience as an accounting/tax professional; 2-3 years concentration with a complex multinational company Strong accounting, analytical and technical knowledge of FAS 109, FIN 48, US tax reporting and compliance of domestic and foreign operations and accounting methods Extensive experience in compiling large multinational income tax provisions and tax returns; demonstrated expertise in accounting for non US taxes, US foreign tax credits, subsidiary and cross boarder basis differences; reconciliations of deferred taxes and accruing tax reserves Proactive, detail oriented, strong organizational skills & self-starter Accomplishments that reflect technical learning, team leadership, integrity, accountability and efficiency Strong communication skills and an effective style of explaining and illustrating the financial advantages of effective tax planning and thorough tax compliance Literate in systems: Microsoft Office and tax return/provision software Experience with a Big 4 firm or large corporate tax department of a multinational company. Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-based team environment.
