Global Procurement’s BP&O is a global network providing procurement P2P shared services in support of Pfizer’s business needs. The primary purpose of the Global Vendor Master Analyst role is to work as a Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) for specific aspect of vendor master process, operations and tools working as part of a global team:

  • Subject Matter Expert – Americas Regional Ops
  • Subject Matter Expert  - Security and Compliance Area
  • Business Process Management Support
  • Regional Process Stewardship
  • Issue Resolution
  • Project Management

ensuring alignment and compliance to applicable policies, strategy, objectives and business requirements.

This analyst role is an individual contributor role with a requirement to influence in a matrixed environment. This role will have involvement with stakeholders and internal customers.  In addition, a key portion of teamwork is support of the vendor master Business Process Manager role. The geographical scope of this role is regional and the functional scope of this role is Global. This role will have both BAU and project related involvement.


By applying subject matter expertise and regional knowledge, the Global Vendor Master Analyst will support vendor master process, operations and tools within the context of applicable policies, procedures, processes and guidelines. Primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role are:

  • Subject Matter ExpertAmericas Regional Operations – Support local teams with expertise on global process and strategy.  Support global team with regional knowledge. Be a visible POC within the region.

  • Subject Matter Expert - Security and Compliance Functional Area - Act as the owner and subject matter expert for Global Vendor.

  • Support BPM as required
  • Manage operational Risk Control and Role Separation of Duties matrices
  • Manage operational aspects to comply with audit, compliance and security control activities and reporting
  • Oversee system and role access (e.g. critical systems access, firefighter)
  • Interacts with audit/compliance related teams as needed
  • Manage approach, process, guidelines, templates and tools for handling potential fraud issues

  • Business Process Management (BPM) Support   – act as regional point of contact for Global Business Process Manager including providing regional input back to global team

  • Regional Process Stewardship - Act as steward for global vendor master strategies and processes to ensure alignment, compliance and data integrity. Support internal and P2P governance as required. Support change management as required.

  • Issue Resolution – working within a complex cross functional environment resolve business issues, perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions

  • Project Management – support large scale projects such as ERP, M&A as required.

As SME and key regional POC, this role requires influencing abilities in a matrixed environment. This role will have involvement with regional and functional stakeholders and internal customers.



  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in procurement, finance or shared services operational environments within the P2P functional area
  • Detailed knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes specifically P2P operations
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement systems
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with colleagues in all functional areas in a complex and global environment
