Rexnord Aerospace is seeking an experienced Global Vice President of Sales who has a demonstrated and proven track record of superior leadership of a global sales and marketing organization meeting or exceeding sales targets within an aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge and experience interfacing with Purchasing, Engineering and Program Management necessary to position the Rexnord brand and successfully access market opportunities for retrofits, upgrades and new projects. Must have demonstrated ability to call on present and potential customers to sell and promote brand preference for Rexnord products and services used in the aerospace or similar targeted high tech industries.
Key areas of job focus include:
· As a hands-on working leader, drive the global sales team to work on both assigned accounts and emerging accounts, providing application engineering evaluations, technical data on products, pricing, terms, expediting and customer service support. Additionally, for distributors, the team provides customer service support, product training for personnel, and suggests inventory planning, control and consumer service programs
· Clearly define current and future market conditions, customer VOC and customer desires in product performance, technical service capabilities, new product/service development and business requirements
· Ensure accounts are provided timely and efficient customer service resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction
· Able to build strong Rexnord brand awareness and customer relationships to ensure maximum content on programs
· Create and execute market-driven strategic plan that will result in sustainable competitive advantage in served markets
· Develop superior customer relationships calling on accounts to achieve the objectives of the annual sales plan
· Pursue new design programs to obtain preferential source specifications
· Develop detailed customer account plans to drive increased sales levels and to drive increased customer satisfaction
· Develop and maintaining detailed information on customer organizations, key decision makers and key influencers
· Define customer buying factors and help business units develop the necessary value propositions to win and retain business
· Solicit customer VOC and analyzing customer needs in order to sell and/or develop sales of aerospace products
· Coordinate sales and service activity with customer procurement/service management and customer service personnel
· Collects and analyzes competitive intelligence data independently and as requested
· Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for assigned distributor personnel
· Coordinate customer service needs and any required support at assigned accounts
Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors
· BSME or equivalent degreewith 10+ years of leading and motivating a Global Sales & Marketing team within an Aerospace organization
· Strong planning and project management skills
· Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
· Ability to attain new order quota/product/service and sales volume by product, as defined by the annual marketing and sales plans
· Clearly understand both the global aerospace market and the aerospace aftermarket – trends, issues, events and needs
· Able to adapt to change and be self-motivated
· Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership
· Acts with a very strong sense of urgency and with a keen attention to detail
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, team-building and inter-personal skills
· Able to rationally convince and influence using facts and data
· Actively supports RBS (Rexnord Business System) and continuous improvement initiatives

The Business Unit
Rexnord Aerospace supplies engineered high performance bearings and mechanical seals to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, airframe structures and landing gear systems. Our aerospace bearing and seal products consist of rolling element airframe bearings and bearing tooling sold under the Shafer® and Tri-Roller® brand names, Teflon lined polymeric bearings sold under the Tuflite® brand name, slotted entry, split ball and split race bearings sold under the PSI® brand name, self-lubricating machinable lined bearings and coatings sold under the Rexlon® brand name and mechanical seals sold under the Cartriseal® brand name. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEM’s, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM’s and through our FAA approved repair station we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.
