Senior Developer - TCL/TK

Our client is seeking a strong Senior Developer with broad general IT knowledge and background.  Should be a strong problem solver with the ability to hear loose instructions and devise viable solutions.

Requirements:

* Perl, Tcl/TK, and C++

* Broad IT knowledge and Background (well-rounded person)

* Solid Problem Solver - someone who can think beyond the scope of the role and create solutions that optimize their technology

* Strong teamwork ability & flexibility

* Ability to shift gears easily and multi-task

*** Nice to have skills:

* Front-end Development skills such as Java, AJAX, etc. (see note below)

* Aviation industry tools a plus (i.e., GMT, LDS)

* DOJO a plus

NOTE: Most of the work will be backend development but front-end skills would be a plus for GUI interface work.

Currently, our client has two disparate systems, a desktop application and a web application. They would like to merge these two systems and eliminate TK, focusing mostly on TCL. They have a clustered environment with around 15 servers.
