This is the next level of progression in the software engineering family. The position supports product or program development using knowledge, principles and practices of software engineering technology. Execution of standard software work to include project planning, requirements analysis, design, code and test, integration and validation for associated documentation. In addition to coding in C, Lab Windows is also used. Work closely with Test Engineers and Electrical Engineers to build and test electronics and build embedded applications to reside in electronics. Develop test software for customized space electronics including a variety of data acquisiton unis for launch vehicles and missiles, control system and power control systems for satellites, and electronic systems that reside in the international space station.
The position requires a BS in computer science or electrical engineering and five years of relevant experience, or an MS and three years experience.
