Find out more, by exploring this career opportunity in our Eden Prairie, MN location.Data Governance PMO DirectorUnder general direction of the Chief Data Officer, provides leadership and supervision to a matrix group who is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that support the strategic objectives of both Ingenix and our Parent United HealthGroup. Establish and direct the policies and procedures for project management methodology and defining, testing based upon mandated programs and initiatives. Provide an effective liaison between the business departments, and the ARRA Corporate PMO Specific responsibilities will include: - Provides supervision and guidance to all projects within the Governance Office as well as those business units impacted by mandated programs and coordinate all reporting and administrative duties including staffing needs.
- Participates in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; prepares and administers work unit operating budget; provides recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implements new/revised programs according to established guidelines.
- Prepares job descriptions, identifies staffing needs, provides general direction, and assigns specific tasks and responsibilities.
- Oversees various systems projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing, and equipment including software and hardware.
- Identifies needs and will allocate the appropriate resources to meet timely completion of specific project tasks.
- Leads and coordinates project update meetings, and documents project status and issues to the Chief Data Officer.
- Apprises the Chief Data Officer and the Governance Steering Committee of project status, issues and concerns.
- Acts as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, information technology and outside vendors as it relates to enterprise data governance program/project issues.
- Determine feasibility, cost, time required to Corporate directives and programs
- Support project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business impacts, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives.
- Candidates will possess: Minimum of 10 years of professional level job - insurance preferred.
- Experience with health care industry, including issues related to data management and data protection
- Strong, demonstrated understanding of the business and financial aspects of project management
- Demonstrated success managing IT and business projects autonomously with the ability to see the interrelationship of projects across the big picture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven listening, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Strong personal presence and the ability to provide leadership to senior executives within her/his area of expertise
- Demonstrated success communicating across a variety of audiences, including business people and technologists (both up and down the organization)
- Relevant Bachelors degree; or equivalent experience Position requires direct one-on-one as well as group basis interaction with Operations management and Sr. Management at Ingenix.
