Government Consulting Engineer

Scope of Responsibilities  

  Provide support to an organization in evaluating the future technologies required to support their business and how these will be best utilized.

Specific Responsibilities  

The selected candidate will work as an engineer dedicated to the operational support of 2-3 customer systems.

They will work with management to ensure efficient system operations, customer program managers to support programmatic requirements, and with integration engineers to aid in the design, test, and deployment of new capabilities.

A strong background in telecommunications is required, with in-depth knowledge of modern telecommunications systems included TCP/IP networks and SDH communications.

Experience in digital and analog signal processing is highly desired, and the candidate should have experience with a variety of customer processing and analytic tools.

Candidate Profile  

A Minimum of five years systems engineering, development and integration experience with SIGINT systems during the last 10 years.

Within the last five years, a minimum of three of the specializations listed below:

TDM/PCM Multiplexing /Modulation System

Cellular/Personal Communications System

Signal Analysis

Systems Engineering

Modem Telecommunications System and Network

Telephony Switching System

Operations Systems

Within the last ten years, a minimum of five years develop and integration experience in SIGINT systems.

Within the last four years, a minimum of three years experience with the functionality and inter-processing of packet-and-circuit-based HW & SW solutions.

A minimum of eight years experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex hardware/software systems.  This experience should also include definition of requirements and allocation of functions, conduction of systems requirements reviews, development of Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and interfacing standards, definition of architecture, technical/non-technical assessments, and end-to-end flow analysis.

A minimum of four years experience in a leadership position providing technical supervision to other engineering personnel; Solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light or objectives, budget and schedule.

Experience integrating, installing, configuring, changing and optimizing HW & SW solutions into an overall system architecture.

Experience loading and configuring the software on the appropriate hardware including the specific equipment, local controller and remote controller.

Experience integrating these processors and their HW and SW into an overall system architecture.

Individual must have experience in dealing with C-level executives in an organization

Within last ten years, a minimum of five years development and integration experience in SIGINT systems.
