Government Sales Team Manager

This strategic position for the Government business is required to provide leadership and direction to a team of sales professionals, in the Civilian Market,  to ensure that business value is driven to customers to accomplish the objectives of meeting sales revenue targets, new customer acquisition, retain and grow the base of business and market share increase. Government Sales Team Managers are responsible for leading and implementing projects of a regional, agency or national scope to drive sales growth for LexisNexis Risk Solutions in an assigned territory or industry specific vertical in the Government marketplace. It is anticipated that the Government Sales Team Manager will insure and grow this revenue stream via expert strategic deployment of resources and spearhead the penetration of LexisNexis Advanced Government Solutions into Government agencies through the enterprise by focusing on strategic initiatives that yield the greatest monetary and market share potentials for the addressable customer base. A major focus of the position is to ensure organizational value with meaningful business benefits to the major customers in the territory or vertical with a strategic solutions sales orientation. This must be coupled with strong executive relationships and sponsorships at these customers.

BS/BA or equivalent: 10 years proven sales experience. Work experience in the professional sales environment serving Government customers is desirable with bona fide market expertise. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills are required for strategic customer engagements. Proven organizational business management and forecasting skills a must. Understanding of the Government customer, their challenges, procurement and bids process and have the ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of LexisNexis Risk Solution products and services and how they apply to the customers needs. Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities with key customer stakeholders and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and solutions knowledge. Able to set strategy and direct team resources, accomplishing mutual team goals. This position requires travel which includes overnight travel. The Government Sales Team Manager is require to manage the necessary talent for an optimized team, including hiring, developing, managing, evaluating people. The GSTM will lead Strategic alliances between all other business units and 3rd party relationships for strategic plays and incremental revenue opportunity.
