GRANT ADMINISTRATIVE LEADER Responsibility Level: Grant Administrator will actively pursue new funding and rebate programs with federal, state, and local government agencies; utility companies; foundations; and other agencies. Position will be responsible for dissemination program information and requirements to internal sales teams and potentially to external customers. In addition, the Grant Administrator will complete or work with others to complete the funding opportunities research, planning, writing, and communicating of compliance tasks to submit funding applications for Johnson Controls clients. Principal Duties: 1. Pursue utilities rebates, government agencies, and other organizations funding programs with internal sales teams and / or external customers. 2. Develop, manage, and cultivate Johnson Controls' relationship with funding government agencies, foundations and philanthropic organizations. 3. Identify, prioritize, communicate, and customize grant application completion for external customers and/or internal management to meet client needs. 4. Provide grant proposal preparation to sales accountants including project measurement goals and recommendations regarding whether a client should apply to a prospective agency. 5. Communicate to internal sales teams and potential external customers granting agency compliance guidelines, procedures, reporting requirements, and budgets requirements during the submission process and award period. 6. Design and manage database or archrival tool to track historical information of pursued grant documents and/or grant programs to analyze trends; showcase successes in proposals and marketing documents; and help refine our future approach in assisting clients with grant requests. 7. Manage, develop, and produce quarterly report on grant activity by region/area to share grant data with interested internal parties. 8. Any and all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: 1. Strong leadership, management, written communication and interpersonal skills 2. Must possess excellent oral and written skills. 3. High degree of personal integrity and impeccable ethics. 4. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of external customers, government officials, agencies, foundation representatives, and internal customers. 5. Minimum of ten years experience in Marketing, Communications, Grant Services, Community Relations or related field. 6. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience. 7. Potential Travel requirements could reach 20% of the time.
