Responsibilities:
Core Activities
Primary author for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants and other grant proposals
Work with scientific staff to design Phase I and Phase II scientific work plans for SBIR and other grant proposals
Write commercialization plans for grant funded product concepts
Assist in scientific manuscript and abstract preparations
Additional Activities
Meet with scientific teams to optimize research plans
Research and identify appropriate funding sources using electronic and print mediums
Research new clinical applications of Affinergy’s peptide linkers
Research unmet clinical needs and current business markets for proposed products
Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience with scientific writing such as NIH grant proposals, manuscripts, abstracts, etc.
M. D. or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Chemistry or related field
Background in an Orthopedic or Cellular lab a plus
Deadline oriented
Experience with analytical methods
Ability to work on projects of a multidisciplinary nature
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, and responsible
