About the Position:
We are seeking individuals with an education and background in graphic design to work as a part of the Marketing Communications team. This position is a part-time, unpaid internship for academic credit. The department is primarily responsible for managing the external and internal reputation of the company by communicating a variety of business and corporate brand messaging to a wide variety of target audiences – often through very visual means.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Creating impactful marketing materials that follow company style guidelines including – but not limited to – corporate presentations, print collateral for events and logo design
- Designing internal displays of press coverage and company announcement posters
-Support in managing relationships with printers, stock photography resources, photographers and other external production contacts
- Remaining up-to-date on design trends
- Attending team meetings to share new, proactive PR ideas with the Marketing Communications team
Requirements:
• Must be highly proficient in Mac with strong working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, Acrobat and image scanning process
• Additional experience in photography, video editing or web design is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a degree of autonomy
• Organized, excellent project/time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
