Job Description

Cvent has an opportunity for a Technical Writer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment. The ideal candidate will have an education and interest in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, or English. This position will be part of Cvent’s Knowledge Management team in Client Services.


Position Duties

  • Write end-user documentation that engages clients and answers their questions about using Cvent
  • Write, format, and edit user documentation including training materials, knowledgebase articles, FAQs, online tutorials, and reference guides
  • Demonstrate detailed Cvent product knowledge
  • Create and edit graphics using screen capture utilities and photo editing tools
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation standards


Candidate Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in developing end-user documents
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with different audiences
  • Willingness to take initiative and be accountable for your own work
  • Ability to identify problems and bring them to supervisor’s attention
  • Working knowledge of writing styles, web standards, and Microsoft Office required
  • Understanding and the meeting planning industry, and knowledge of tools such as Salesforce, Camtasia, Photoshop, and Snagit is a plus
