We are seeking a smart, creative, and
energetic Graphic Artist for a varied mix of print and web-based projects.  We are an
established local 108 year company with a proven track record with our clients
as being a single source supplier. We are actively recruiting a highly
motivated Graphic Designer who can hit the ground running with a growing
company.

Position Responsibilities: 

·        
Responsible for creation/re-design
with tight turnaround times and strict deadlines.

·        
Prepares artwork for print production.

·        
Creates, modifies, and follows printing
specifications for customer jobs. 

·        
Assures that client artwork is
delivered to specification, on time and within budget.

·        
Assists in the creation of mock-ups of
art work for client approval.

·        
Checks vendor proofs of artwork
produced to assure that all files have been output properly and the job is
ready to be printed.

·        
Scans and sizes images used in final
artwork.

·        
Purchases stock photos, as necessary,
to produce the final artwork.

·        
Maintains photo files.

·        
Stays current with internet and
software technologies used for creative work.

·        
Job functions as defined by Roles and
Responsibilities Grid and other duties as assigned by management.

·        
To prepare final artwork for clients
for print production and to assist in preparing mock-ups of artwork, as necessary,
for client approval and vendor release.

SKILLS:

·        
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
and Mac OSX.

·        
Proficient with a Web Based workflow,
must demonstrate a strong pattern of success/knowledge in Adobe InDesign,
Illustrator, and Photoshop.

·        
Knowledge of Dreamweaver and Access a
plus.

·        
Basic understanding of printing and
traditional graphic art procedures and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree or equivalent in
graphic arts field and 2-4 years of experience.

Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
and juggle multiple priorities.

Painstaking attention to detail.

·        
Knowledge of principles and practices
of print production.
