***CSC seeks a Senior Graphic Designer to perform technical publications/graphics support for the Missile Defense Agency System Engineering & Integration directorate (MDA/DEE) as part of the Quick Response Team in Arlington, Virginia***
The candidate selected will assist other graphic designers in the development of their products. The Quick Response Team is responsible for preparing presentation materials and papers for Senior Executive Service and General Officer/Flag Officer personnel at the Missile Defense Agency in Arlington, Virginia. This position requires a current active SECRET or higher security clearance (TOP SECRET preferred). The candidate must have the ability to prepare white papers, Reports to Congress, technical reports, and graphics presentations, as required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, and Word) and graphics software (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Corel Draw, Bryce-3D, Multi-Media) is required. Ability to complete quality self-checks and to peer-review other graphics designers' products is required. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment under short time constraints, work flexible hours in times of heavy workloads, and interface effectively with system engineering team members and representatives of various Missile Defense Agency offices. Experience with MDA and/or Ballistic Missile Defense System programs a plus.
Essentail Job Functions
- Develops and designs moderately complex visual communications products such as missile defense engineering presentations, briefings, information papers, decision memoranda, and technical reports
- Communicates and works with engineering technical staff to develop moderately complex visual media products to support missile defense engineering concepts and architectures, and builds associated decision briefings
- Determines layout and organization of briefing packets for system engineering decision forums and performs all quality control and security classification marking checks on documents included in the packets
- Interfaces with customers from across the government organization to receive and prioritize taskings and requests for technical graphics services
- Conducts peer review of graphics products to ensure quality and technical accuracy to ensure that customer quality of service requirements are met
Qualification
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or related field preferred
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and graphics software (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Corel Draw, Bryce-3D, Multi-Media) required.
- Four or more years of graphic design experience
- Experience working with graphic design concepts and equipment
- Experience working with printing preparation
- Experience working with pre-press coordination
- Experience working with graphic software
