Director of Quality Control
My client is a leading Pharmaceutical CMO (cGMP) with over many years of manufacturing experience in Pharmaceuticals. They are a stable, full-service, provider of prescription and OTC medications. They are seeking a New Director of Quality Control. The Director will oversee QC operations and multiple labs including: Chemistry, Microbiology, Stability, Raw materials.
Successful candidates will have strong communication skills and experience mentoring direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure procedures for materials and final product testing
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing procedures
- Ensure training qualifications for all QC staff for cGMP’s, safety SOPs an company policies
- Lead investigations of quality issues and CAPAs
- Participate in production planning and scheduling
- Oversee departmental operations including schedules, budgets, capital expenses, recruitment and training
- Leadership to guide Quality Control personnel through growth and new initiatives
- Maintain accurate, clear and current documentation for operations personal
Must Have:
- MS/PhD/PharmD (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related)
- 8 to 12 years Pharmaceutical QC
- 6+ years Experience with Generics QC
- 6 to 8 years QC management experience
- Pharmaceutical QC manufacturing experience
- Chemistry, microbiology, stability, materials (raw, in-process, final) and Environmental control
- Experience with client relations
- Experience with process validations
- Root cause experience
- Strong technical writing skills and problem solving skills
Preferences:
- Experience with CMOs and Generics
- Six Sigma certification a big plus
- Leadership during organizational growth
Compensation:
$85,000-100,000 DOE
