Immunochemists

 

There are opportunities with established and start-up companies for Protein Chemists with expereince in diagnostics and reagents development.  Several are adding scientists and professionals to their staff.  They focus on cancer and pathogen diagnostics and many are developing Lab-on-a-chip platforms.  There are also a contract manufacturers of molecular diagnostic reagents looking for talent.  There are great challenges out there of scientists or managers with just a few years of experience in developing the bologics of IVDs.  

 

Position Responsibilities include :

 

·         Production and purification of proteins for IVD tests and reagents

·         Develop, review and maintain documentation and SOPs

·         Participates in R&D and manufacturing efforts

·         Coordinates with development and manufacturing

·         Participates in CAPA

·         Participation in QC

 

Must Have:

 

·         BS/MS/PhD Biochemistry or related (all levels considered)

·         2 to 7 years diagnostics and reagents development experience including

·         Experience with cell culture and bacterial fermentation

·         Experience with various gene expression systems

·         Experience with protein/antigen devices

 

Preferences:

·         Background in Immuno IVD reagents

·         Experience with microfluidic devices valuable for some opportunities

·         Experience with production of medical devices and commercialization of Immunoassy ELISA detection devices
