Job Description:
Lender Processing Services (LPS) is seeking a Senior Program / Project Manager for its Applied Analytics division in Jacksonville, FL to manage its process and project around building the systems related to the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP). The position will report to the Director of Analytics and will have the primary and immediate focus to coordinate and drive the requirements, design, development, and delivery of the several simultaneous projects in the HAMP domain under very tight time constraints. Secondary responsibility will be to engage with LPS clients', currently Fannie Mae and mortgage servicers, to ensure that the technical team at our clients and the LPS technical team are working together towards solutions. Deep mortgage domain knowledge is essential. Qualified candidates must have had hands-on experience with managing enterprise application projects and be comfortable with working with different stakeholders to help communicate business requirements and project status.
 
The company is seeking a self-starter who can hit the ground running on day 1. The role will start working on important projects the first day with minimal learning time and direction.  
 
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Candidates for this position must have practical experience with the following:
-  At least 2 years as a project manager in the mortgage servicing industry
-  Six (6+) years as a project manager with experience directly managing full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for Software as a Service (SaaS) development projects with cross-functional teams
-  Hands-on experience in implementing and utilizing application lifecycle management tools such as Visual Studio Team System / Team Foundation Server and project management tools such as SharePoint, MS Project, Team Explorer, or similar tools
-  Strong time management skills - as this is a dynamic environment, candidate must be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to quickly prioritize and reprioritize tasks as the situation dictates
-  Demonstrated team based leadership and performance under pressure - candidate must be able to facilitate and successfully deliver projects against the triple constraints (cost, schedule, resources), proactively identify risks and establish change control procedures, and communicate status clearly at any stage of the project
-  Candidate must have managed projects in a PMO environment where best practices and lessons learned for standards and processes were established and applied.
-  Direct hands-on experience in managing iterative product development projects using best SDLC practices (utilizing best practices from RUP, EUP, SCRUM or Agile)
-  Highly self-motivated with a strong business sense to capture and fulfill the business requirements for all products and articulate in a project plan
-  Excellent communication skills - demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively communicate to direct and dotted line reports, peers, senior management, and end users
                                                                       
Duties:
Candidates' responsibilities include (not limited to):

  1. Represent technical solution to LPS clients

  2. Manage multiple simultaneous projects involving a single application suite. Higher risk, complex, strategic/business impacts, multiple internal and external work groups and client involvement are considerations

  3. Manage all aspects of team interaction

  4. Work with the architect, project manager and BU MD to produce high level and detailed project plans for delivering solutions

  5. Individually manage and own all projects and become the liaison for all projects across different functional and technical units

  6. Coordinate and drive the requirements, design, development, and delivery of the products within aggressive timelines

  7. Translate business requirements into project tasks and follow through their execution and ensure task level traceability

  8. Establish and apply project management and PMO best practices, lessons learned, and standards for phased product SDLC (such as RUP or EUP) blended with iterative methodologies (SCRUM/Agile) during the execution phase for efficient component delivery

  9. Enforce and manage the SDLC methodology that is adopted to build products

  10. Establish or improve Change Management, Release Management and Issue Tracking processes

  11. Deliver products within an aggressive timetable

  12.  Ensure appropriate allocation of resources to development versus operational troubleshooting and support

Other Skills:
  • Candidates with experience using and implementing a rules engine will be highly considered

  • Ability to establish and manage project plans (scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk) in accordance with the PMBOK framework is a plus

  • Able to communicate in a forthright manner, while demonstrating respect and diplomacy.

Education:
  • Undergraduate, or higher, degree in a related field

  • PMP Certification highly desired
