Job Description: Overview: This key position will play an important role in transforming Mentor’s current HR and payroll business processes, practices and systems into highly effective and efficient methods that deliver best practice services to our global employee population. This is a functional role acting as a liaison with the IT organization. Specific Responsibilities: · Lead major project initiatives and provides functional expertise and governance on projects regarding HR data management and business processes utilizing industry "best practices" to minimize risk, gain efficiencies and improve service quality. · Define, analyze and document user requirements, procedures, data and problems. · Conduct joint design efforts to offer new solutions, business cases, and/or value propositions that automate processing or improve existing HR and payroll business processes. · Design and implement proper business and system controls and standard operating procedures in compliance with established internal corporate and SOX regulatory standards and guidelines. · Identify and recommend information management strategies that will support HR and will interface/integrate with the SAP HR system. · Maintain SOX documentation and process flow diagrams. · Maintain departmental benchmarks and participate in benchmarking surveys to ensure efficient and effective processes and best practice approaches. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred · Three to five years experience as an HR generalist with significant HRIS experience across a broad array of functional (HR) areas preferred. · Prior experience in an international organizational providing HRIS services globally is preferred. · Understands data structures, relationships, and data models – experienced at writing reports using standard report writing packages such as Business Objects, Crystal or other comparable packages · Highly productive as a “super user” with either SAP, PeopleSoft or Oracle HR experience. · Self-Starter and disciplined in managing workload · Successful track record of participating in large systems and continuous improvement projects from a functional HR perspective. · Team, multi-task and deadline oriented · Experience in developing functional specifications, mapping and converting data, and communicating with IT systems analysts · Experienced in developing and coordinating HR systems testing scenarios and activities, particularly in an SAP HR environment, would be a strong plus · Must have strong interpersonal, negotiation and written/verbal communications skills · Comfortable making presentations to all levels within the organization · Experienced at managing large projects and in using project management tools such as MS Project · Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) · Knowledgeable of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements with respect to HR systems and processes · Trained in quality methods and methodologies – must be process oriented and have the ability to train/influence others in this regard About Mentor Graphics: Mentor Graphics® is a technology leader in electronic design automation (EDA), providing software and hardware design solutions that enable companies to develop better electronic products faster and more cost-effectively.
