Position Description

This HR Generalist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will be located in Oxnard Headquarters.  This position requires an individual that is able to proactively manage multiple tasks through demonstration of strong organizational skills.  Key duties of the position will include providing human resources support among our multiple locations by:

 

·         Administers employee benefits program such as: medical, vision, dental, life, STD/LTD, and 401(k).

·         New Hire Orientation.

·         HRIS data entry and maintenance.

·         Worker's Compensation Administration and is part of the Safety Committee.

·         Prepares monthly headcount reports for management and Finance.

·         Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

·         Responds to unemployment and disability claims.

·         FMLA coordination.

·         Backup payroll.

·         Conducts and participates in resolving employee relations issues.

·         Coordinate employee activities.

·         Provide support for other HR Programs, as needed.

Education and Work Experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.

·         5 years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

·         Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

·         Solid technical and functional knowledge CA & Federal employment labor laws, workers’ compensation, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, benefit programs and regulatory requirements

·         Strong organizational and project management

·         HRIS experience

·         Payroll administration experience with ADP.

·         Word, Excel and Outlook experience a must.

·         Strong communications, written and verbal.

·         Bilingual a plus-English/Spanish.
