Job Description:

Responsible for developing new business within assigned customer markets.  This includes defining market characteristics, creating call lists, meeting with potential customers, and identifying solutions that meet customer needs and can be supported with McKean technical capabilities. Candidate will also support proposal development efforts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience selling to the DoD. 
  
• Cold Calling: existing relationships are great but we seek the true hunter.
  
• Experience selling services, not products – engineering services, IT services, etc.
  
• Proven experience in developing engineering and IT services business within Navy and DOD, with a success rate of booking at least $10M for the last three years. Track record, including history of documented, quantified accomplishments is primary qualifier.
  
• Market knowledge in areas such as: naval engineering, systems engineering, and enterprise data services.
  
• Knowledge of Federal procurement regulations.
  
• Ability to analyze opportunities and appropriately assess the value and the ability to analyze solicitations and appropriately define resource requirements and budgets.
  
• Ability to analyze opportunities, requirements and bid evaluation criteria to develop the most effective strategies.
  
• Ability to perform mathematical/financial analysis and analyze the quality of all work performed and the completed proposal.
  
• Ability to contribute to the improvement of McKean’s competitive positioning.
  
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  
• Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and the Internet.
  
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong presentation skills are a necessity.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  
• Ability to work effectively and perform multiple tasks under pressure.

Location: Falls Church & Virginia Beach

Travel: Some travel to Philadelphia will be required. Up 20%.
