About the Job

Job Purpose:

Serves customers by establishing and administering employee benefits plans; managing staff.

Duties:

* Accomplishes employee benefits plans services human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

* Achieves employee benefits plans services operational objectives by contributing employee benefits plans services information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining employee benefits plans services system improvements; implementing change.

* Meets employee benefits plans services financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

* Opens accounts by establishing records; verifying agreements; setting action plans; coordinating and completing requirements.

* Complies with regulatory requirements by filing required documents.

* Completes account requirements by verifying, entering, and forwarding transactions.

* Keeps clients informed by responding to inquiries; providing information; resolving problems; providing reports and explanations.

* Maintains customer confidence by keeping employee benefits plan information confidential.

* Updates job knowledge by monitoring erisa and tax regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
