The Role


The Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Human
Resources
team has an opportunity for an up-and-coming payroll professional to
fill the new role of HR Systems Coordinator

(part-time) at our U.S. headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. 
At present, this is a permanent part-time position, that will require a
commitment of four, eight-hour days per week until the end of 2009. 
Reporting to the Supervisor, Payroll and Benefits, you will assist the
payroll department staff and our U.S. based employee group with a variety of
tasks related to the payroll and benefit process.

The Key 
Responsibilities:


 


  • Assist with general payroll paper flow and personnel
    file setup.

  • Ensure all employee payroll and benefits documentation
    is received and completed properly.

  • Ensure all employee notifications are sent out.
  • Order American Driving Record reports.
  • Maintain employee database in Oracle to ensure data
    integrity.

  • Maintenance of data in Kronos Time Clocks.
  • Assist with end user support of Oracle Time and Labor and Oracle Manager
    Self Service.

  • Assist with reconciling payroll accounts.
  • Maintain various payroll spreadsheets.
  • Open and distribute incoming mail.
  • Issue time entry badges.

 


The Requirements


 


  • Diploma, associate degree or degree in business
    administration or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in HR/Payroll department,
    ideally in a company with employees in multiple states.

  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills are a
    requirement.

  • Basic accounting knowledge and strong aptitude for
    numbers and systems.

  • Experience in working for a multi-national company an
    asset.

  • Working knowledge of an HRMS system, Oracle HRMS would
    be ideal.

  • Effective verbal and written English
    skills.

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Independent and self-motivated worker.
  • Superior organizational skills; attention to detail and
    problem solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all
    matters.

  • A solid work ethic without sacrificing your sense of
    humor or your ability to have fun on the job!
