EPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES Job Summary:
Primary function is to manage Company HRIS systems, policies, and programs with emphasis on hiring, payroll, and employee benefits administration for all company and subsidiary company employees including project-based employees. Must ensure Company is in full compliance with applicable Federal, State and local regulations, including EEO, U.S. Immigration law, FLSA, Workers’ Compensation, Disability, and FMLA. In addition, the position works closely with the Senior Management in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities principally as they relate to HRIS and HR as a whole.
Essential Functions:
Oversees and manages HRIS Systems (Ceridian, Kronos, PeopleSoft, and Infinium) on a day-to-day basis to process pay, change of status, open enrollment, new hires, and terminations. Plan, direct, and supervise all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and benefits administration. Develop, implement, and control programs in a manner that ensures cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity among employees. Manages the hiring process, ensuring all new hire and employee change data is input accurately and timely. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Periodically audits the HRIS database to ensure accuracy. Directs the preparation and maintenance of employee report data to meet the goals of the department. Develops and administers programs and procedures. Manages special projects, as needed. Manages at least one HR Analyst. Duties not limited to handling moderate HR Generalist related duties as needed. Competencies/Skill Set:
Minimmum 7 years of progressive experience with HRIS systems/database, preferably PeopleSoft in addition to Generalist related skills via previous or current employment. Knowledge of Infinium, a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and dissemination of information. Ability to handle multiple tasks with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to work beyond normal work hours when needed. Education:
BS in Business, Human Resources or a related field, or 7 years equivalent HR work experience. Company Background:
