HRIS Reporting Consultant

Position Description:
The senior HRIS Consultant is responsible for analyzing data, ensuring data accuracy, monitoring data flow and summarizing results. The senior HRIS analyst works closely with leadership and other professionals to obtain analytical or reporting requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

Analyze data and synthesize results/ observations. The key objective of this role is to analyze data, make recommendations and synthesize results; obtain reporting requirements from end-user and develop appropriate reports and analysis utilizing most efficient data source and reporting tool .

This position works closely with the HRIS manager to enhance and maintaining HR data repositories, reports, report templates and dashboards by leveraging data from various HR and financial sources. The senior HRIS analyst also works closely with the HR financial analyst to develop, analyze, and report on HR data including financials and metrics.

Performs process/ data audits, summarizes results and report and makes appropriate recommendations
Design, extract and interpret ad hoc reports as requested
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in distributed reports and data sources through aggressive quality control efforts
Prepare detailed technical reports or summary management reports as appropriate
Design, implement and evaluate system reports and other information solutions that support enterprise wide operations and key metrics
Assist functional users in defining and gathering requirements
Researches reporting needs and develops effective systems/methods for gathering information
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual HR scorecard reports and summarizes information obtained by analysis of data
Provide thoughtful analysis and enhance the report owner’s perspective by using a combination of available information, tool functionality and business knowledge
Create end-user testing/training material and assist in the testing process;
Represent HRIS on various projects via work management, data collection and reporting

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years HRIS experience
  • Progressive HR experience preferred
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Commitment to adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality.
  • Expert level of proficiency in Excel required
  • Proficiency with Access required
  • Fundamental knowledge of database functionality, architecture and data relationships
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Strong information analysis and problem solving ability.
  • Significant business or financial analysis experience.
  • Accuracy & Quality – experience in system / financial audits or similar detailed work. Must be compulsive about data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to translate information requests into practical outputs
  • HR experience / functional knowledge.
  • Familiarity with payroll, compensation and benefits administration is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hyperion or SQL experience preferred
