Our client is a leading specialty chemicals company with facilities in South Carolina.


 


THE OPPORTUNITY


 


Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager with experience in process controls, as well as power distribution in chemical or other manufacturing operations. 


 


The Electrical Engineer Manager will lead the Plant Electrical Engineering Team in the development and implementation of process controls for the chemical production processes, as well as enhancement of existing controls in support to new processes. 


 


The Electrical Engineer Manager will support power distribution needs of the company’s production operations.  The Electrical Engineering Manager will negotiate with outside electrical contractors and oversee outside electrical contractors who work on the high voltage systems in the plant.


 


The Electrical Engineer Manger will also lead the Electrical Engineering Team in support of capital projects.  The Electrical Engineer Manager will play a key role in justifying, planning and executing capital projects for installation, improvement and upgrades of electrical and control systems in the refinery.  Projects may also include switchgear and related power distribution equipment.


 


The Electrical Engineer Manager will also be a “hands-on” individual, who will have responsibility for specifying the PLC’s, sensors and other electrical systems for new production lines and the upgrading of existing production operations.


 


This is an ideal position for an Electrical Engineer who has had experience with automated production controls and electrical systems in manufacturing facilities, and is seeking a challenging, high visibility opportunity in a fast-paced production environment.


 


This position is located in South Carolina.


 


REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:


 



  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years experience in instrumentation and controls, as well as power distribution in manufacturing.
  • Experience in capital projects, including justification, planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, sensors and motors
