We are looking for a Field Service Specialist for Kentucky. If you have worked in service, maintenance, and installation of DDC control systems and mechanical systems which may include: HVAC, security, network, and fire alarm systems in a commercial, process, construction and/or retrofit environment.   We would like to speak with you!

As a Field Specialist for our service team you will:

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.


• provide technical support across a wide range of building automation and life safety, electrical or mechanical equipment, systems and subsystems (including software where applicable) from simple to moderately complex in nature.


• Perform scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, DDC & electrical equipment/systems. 


• Complete maintenance within assigned labor load PM hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls.


• Perform installations, complete emergency calls, and perform testing & start-up support across a wide range of electrical or mechanical equipment, systems and subsystems (including software where applicable) which are simple to moderately complex in nature.


• Perform service and maintain systems involving networks, system integration, open technologies, software based interfaces, HVAC controls, fire/security systems and other facility/infrastructure management systems.


• Assist sales and operations with delivering customer requirements


• Meet with customer and evaluate customer site specifics


• Trouble shoot HVAC control systems, communication systems, and identify LAN issues.


• Work with electrical, mechanical, network, and engineering.

Additionally Desired:

• NICET level II certification within 2 years of hire date


• Ability to take ownership of a project with little supervision


• Security, direct digital controls and mechanical systems


• Computer literate in computer operating systems and applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook


• Associates degree preferred.


• Experience with Systems that involve advanced solutions such as EBI, Tridium, Echelon,Lonmark and other open technologies for building a plus


• Building networks infrastructure knowledge is desirable (wiring, CAT, cables, fiber optics, etc.)


• Software programming experience


• Fire alarm, security and networks knowledge is highly desired.


• NICET II certification


• MCSE certification


• A+ certification.


• Valid and clean driving record


• Eyesight correctable to 20/50


• Ability to read blue prints and specifications.


• Ability to work safely with hand and power tools, to lift 50 lbs or more, and climb ladders


• Strong knowledge of software and system integration concepts, desired.


• On occasion, open to work different shifts or extended hours
