HVAC MECHANIC - AK Boiler Team

We currently have a NEW opportunity to join our Boiler Services Team providing top quality energy efficiency support for multiple sites based in Anchorage, Alaska.   


 


RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Operate and maintain steam and hot water boilers, drainage distribution systems, and related equipment. 
  • Conduct equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, and reporting.  
  • Collaborate with trade, management, and staff to ensure reliable utility service and efficient performance. 
  • Complete internal and external inspections of boilers, burners, and associated controls.
  • Evaluate boiler room systems, gather information and help resolve problems.
  • Compile logs, prepare reports, and enters data/information into computers. 
  • Ensure full compliance with standard safety codes and practices.   
  • Perform inspections and preventive equipment maintenance. 
  • Provides clear, accurate, customer-focused verbal and written communication.
  • Ensures top quality service delivery in a timely, efficient, and customer-focused manner.
  • Maintain safe work area, tools, and equipment. 

 


REQUIREMENTS:


  • This position requires boiler operations and maintenance experience working in ALASKA.
  • Trade or Vocational School education, minimum five (5) years experience in boiler trade as a journeyman required.
  • Current Gas /Oil Burner Technician’s, Fireman’s, or Operating Engineer’s License strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated
    experience installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and
    repairing boiler, water treatment systems, controls components, and/or
    utility generation and distribution systems.  
  • Prior troubleshooting and repair of commercial/ industrial boilers and burners; power flame experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret system and equipment plans, specifications, operating manuals. 
  • Proven ability to respond, communicate, and deliver high quality service and outstanding customer care. 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs.
  • Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule and provide on-call response.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residence status required.
  • Will be required to pass security clearance investigation.
  • Travel required.
