Responsibilities/Duties

Hardware Design Engineer - Primary hardware designer for the new IP Gateway product. Designs Power supplies, microprocessor system and incorporates existing RF designs into the new product. Must have basic firmware development skills. Responsible for component selection, circuit design and prototype testing. Works with manufacturing on design for manufacturbility. Provides test specifications and procedures.

Qualifications

BSEE degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electronic design including printed circuit boards, and be familiar with RF principles. 

Preferred experience would include design of instrumentation, small power supplies and microprocessor based systems including firmware coding skills. The ideal candidate would have experience with high volume production, and communication technologies - especially RF. The candidate will be asked to use creativity, experience, and judgment to achieve reliable and manufacturable products in a timely manner. Desire a person with strong component level electronic design capabilities with project management skills.
