Health Benefits Consultant

An Enterprise Health Consultant supports our client accounts by researching, collecting and evaluating data from medical, dental, life and disability benefits plans for our clients with 25 -500 employees. To fulfill this role in our Salt Lake City office, the Enterprise Consultant will:
 

  • Maintain direct account responsibility and provide periodic strategic support for all departmental employees, clients and prospective clients

  • Identifiy client objectives and priorities and communicates them to team members

  • Work directly with the client and manage the request for proposal (RFP) process

  • Extract information and draw conclusions from data to interpret trends and anticipate potential problems for clients

  • Negotiate with insurance carrier representatives and underwriters to develop solutions to client problems

  • Oversee client meetings and coordinate/assist with the sales presentation process

  • Generate new sales through existing clients and client referrals, as well as growing an assigned book of business


  • Minimum 4 years of health benefits, brokerage and/or group insurance experience

  • BA/BS degree

  • Advanced knowledge of employee benefit underwriting

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel  

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
