Health Outcomes Scientist

RTI-Health Solutions provides scientifically rigorous research and consulting services to pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. Our research and consulting services focus on health economics and outcomes research. Our various practice areas include: Health Economics, Patient Reported Outcomes, Pharmacoepidemiology, Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory and Health Outcomes Strategy, Pricing and Reimbursement, Biostatistics, Clinical Services and Health Preference Assessment.

RTI-HS is seeking a candidate who will provide support of Regulatory and Health Outcomes Strategy projects in RTP, NC.

Responsibilities

* This position requires technical experience in scientific and/or medical writing and health economics.
* The qualified individual will be responsible for writing and reviewing formulary submission dossiers, product value dossiers, burden of illness literature reviews, manuscripts, and other health outcomes documents.
* The individual will also perform literature searches and conduct desktop research through the internet to gather, analyze, and summarize appropriate information for incorporation into various documents.
* In particular, the responsibilities will include gathering, reviewing, interpreting, and writing materials for the economic sections of these documents.

Qualifications

* Masters, preferably in economics or a related field, with at least 2 years of medical/clinical writing experience or BS degree, preferably in economics or related field
* At least 4 years of medical/clinical writing experience preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology/contract research organization work setting or equivalen
* Alternatively, scientific writing experience in an academic, publication, or industrial setting may be acceptable
* Experience writing global value dossiers, reimbursement dossiers, and literature reviews is preferred
* This is a full-time, regular position.
