The Health & Public Service operating group serves health organizations, government agencies, institutions and nonprofit organizations worldwide providing a broad range of consulting, technology, system integration and business processing services.

 

Service Delivery professionals are responsible for providing service delivery across the breadth of offerings such as accounting, information technology, application development and maintenance, helpdesk services, procurement, learning and training, and human resources. The work that is performed by our delivery professionals may serve one or more clients concurrently and they may be located directly at a client site or within our global delivery network.

 

Job Description

 

The Process/Project Support Specialist will support the unit with the transition from an existing delivery methodology to a new Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) methodology while continuing to maintain unit best practices around system development. Specific responsibilities include assisting the unit Lead with:

 

  • Analyze and identify templates and/or sections of templates that are best practices and should be carried over in the unit's transition
  • Analyze and identify processes and procedures that are best practices and should be carried over in the unit's transition
  • Serve as the unit Subject Matter Expert on Systems Assurance
  • Develop a draft transition plan and schedule for unit projects to begin following the transition
  • Develop and present unit overviews and briefings
  • Determine the communication materials needed for unit transition projects
  • Develop material to be included in communications such as Systems Assurance Newsletters, unit Today emails, and bulletin board flyers as requested by the unit Systems Assurance Lead
  • Prepare for meetings (with projects, client, team, etc) by developing agendas and identifying and creating materials needed (briefings, handouts, minutes, etc)
  • Implement changes to templates, plans, processes, and procedures based on the recommendations identified and approved.
  • Develop a strong understanding of unit projects in terms of key stakeholders, business objectives, timelines, functionality, etc.
  • Develop weekly status reports
  • Peer review of other team member work products and deliverables
  • Anticipate issues proactively and escalate to unit Lead (and other parties) as appropriate

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of business process change management work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 1 year of process improvement work experience to include technical writing and/or developing process models

 

Preferred Skill:

 

  • Familiarity with system lifecycle development processes and practical application of a methodology
  • Must have a proactive, self-starter style, with the ability to work independently of management, and work with and across a matrixed team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assume responsibility for more than one task and prioritize work based on program schedules and deadlines
