We currently have an exciting, career opportunity for an Employee Benefits Producer.

 

In this role, we are seeking an experienced and proven producer and consultant who can prospect for and sell employee benefits coverage to new and existing hospital clients in Northern California.  The producer will also maintain existing relationships with clients.  The ability to build relationships and create personal bond with clients and prospective clients is critical for success. 

 

We are looking for a candidate who can:

·        Identifies, and pursues additional business opportunities with existing clients.

  • Responsible for achieving annual new business production goals.
  • Work closely with Account Manager to implement and service client’s employee benefit plans.
  • Thoroughly understand client plan documents and review them for accuracy.

·        Take ultimate responsibility for the renewal process: renewal timetable, action plan, and execution of action plan.

·        Conduct a renewal strategy meeting with client.  This includes identifying the client’s objectives and priorities.

·        Monitor claims experience on a regular basis and communicate to clients, as necessary. 

 

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in “production” capacity.  Must understand the California managed care market, with knowledge of group underwriting or provider contracting principles.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook and an effective communicator, both orally and written. 

 

Minimum Education Required:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  Active California Life Agent license is required.
