Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Our client, a crane and heavy equipment dealership and repair facility, is seeking an experienced field mechanic for their Corpus Christi branch.
On a daily basis, the field mechanic will be responsible for repairing and servicing cranes and other heavy equipment on site and in the field.
To be qualified for the position applicants must be able to troubleshoot issues and repair cranes and equipment on site. The heavy equipment mechanic must be able to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics. Must have experience as a Crane Mechanic. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to adjust, maintain and repair subassemblies using hand tools, jacks and cranes. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, operate and inspect machines, and read and understand equipment repair manuals, blueprints, and wiring schematics. Client offers continuing education and certification courses in hydraulics, diesel engine and electrical equipment repair. Ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of related work experience. Age 18+ and older due to state regulations. Criminal background investigation and drug screen required.
