For the Helpdesk Level 2 position mentioned, This is a contract to hire position, requirements are below:
Summary:
This candidate will be responsible for all areas of the IT Helpdesk from phone support, basic level remote desktop support to network administration. This candidate is expected to work with all levels, obligated to undertake routine and emergency calls and organize them according to the Service Level Agreement. This position acts as a single point of contact for resolution of technical support issues and requests that come to via telephone.
Specific Project and Responsibilities:
- Provides Phone Support to end users
- Logs issues into the HEAT database. Documentation and organization is really important.
- Remote control of end user workstations to aid in troubleshooting issues
- Software and hardware inventory of assets utilizing tools to assist in those functions
- Implementing software and hardware updates and upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve any and all issues related to the computer, operating systems, and MS applications.
- Track all work in the helpdesk database systems.
- Work with end users to troubleshoot and repair issues occurring on a routine basis.
- Organize and prioritize a regularly changing workload with minimal supervision
- Research and testing of new technology
- Occasional travel to offsite locations
- Self motivation and self management
- Tier II/III support of the helpdesk matter augmented for further research
- Assist in helpdesk when call volume is high
- Create new users
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering incoming Helpdesk telephone calls and resolving issues on the initial call as often as possible with a goal of 75% first call resolution. 97% of worked hours must be logged into the telephone and actively working on issues/request with less than 20% of the spent in DND (Do Not Disturb) Department goal is to answer 90% of all incoming calls with 75% answered in 60 seconds or less.
- Equipment setup, software installations, and other unassigned helpdesk Tickets that need to be resolved
- Backup support for the Helpdesk email support analyst and account administrator to be resolved.
Qualifications:
- Associated Degree or Equivalent work experience with certifications
- A+ Certification
- Network + Certification
- MCSE Certification
- CCNA Certification
- Minimum of 5 years IT Helpdesk Support
- Minimum of 5 years Desktop Support and basic Network Support experience with proven track record
- Experience creating objects in an Active Directory Environment ( Windows Server 20x)
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN network topology
- Experience working with Active Directory, Windows XP, Outlook, and VPN
- Demonstrate experience in implementing process and systems improvements and process documentation
- Experience creating daily documentation and being very organized with this – very important
- Understanding user requirements and implementing them
- Ability to multi-task
- Have great communication and written skills
- Experience being in a call center environment and comfortable being on the phone
- Eager and willing to drive change in order to improve customer service
- Project a positive attitude and be a team player
