SELEX S&AS (US) Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Help Desk Coordinator based out of our Norcross, Georgiafacility.
Position Objectives
The Help Desk Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall day to day support to end users on a variety of issues. The incumbent will identify research and resolve technical problems and will screen, refer, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests related to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
- Degree preferred in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years related experience
- Demonstrated capability in Help Desk Support with Microsoft Windows environment
- Enterprise application support
- Help Desk experience in trouble shooting technical problems for end users
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to effectively present technical information
- Effective documentation and reporting skills required
- May prepare help desk incident reports and assist in hardware/software evaluation
- Must have understanding of TCP/IP in a LAN and WAN environment
- Familiarity with IT network equipment like Routers, Switches and Firewalls
- Excellent Communication skills are a must, with an emphasis on diplomacy and tact
Principal Accountabilities
- Responds to telephone calls and email requests for technical support
- Will cover Help Desk functions for company sites located in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi
- 25% Travel required
- Installs and configures hardware; laptops, printers, desktops
- Document, track and monitor technical problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Evaluates inquiry by determining nature of issue as hardware, software, or user.
- Resolves inquiry by researching documentation; providing answers; referring to appropriate resource. May prepare help desk incident reports and assist in hardware/software evaluation
- Tracks status of inquiry resolution by checking with referred resource; facilitating resolution.
- Notifies client of resolution status by reporting progress.
- Answers production status inquiries; monitoring production log; querying operations; relaying status to employees.
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing inquiry and service trends
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
