Our Information Technology Department, located in Toano, VA, is seeking a Help Desk Specialist.


 


The Help Desk Specialist maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.  This position is the primary source for end user support, including tier one phone support.


 


Responsibilities for this position include performing password resets for Windows and Unix based users and for the voicemail system, assisting in computer operations, performing repairs and maintenance on the Company’s PC related hardware, software, and peripherals, and supporting the deployment of new PC based systems and upgrades to existing hardware and software.


 


Candidates must be familiar with IBM PC compatible hardware and software, and familiarity with IBM AIX equipment is a plus.  Experience with Microsoft Office programs is also required.  Candidates must have an Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university, or one to four years related experience and/or training.  Although no certifications are required, CompTia A+ Certification or a Microsoft Certification would be helpful.
